Thinking of Invisalign or clear aligner?

Updated: May 6, 2021

Were you told you’re not a candidate for Invisalign? Couldn’t get any doctor to help you? Guess what? Yes, we can help! What is Invisalign? Invisalign is a clear aligner system that is custom-made to correct crowding and malocclusion or “bad bite”. It is an alternative to the conventional metal braces. Invisalign uses series of aligners to move your teeth. The aligners are BPA-free clear plastic and made to fit snugly on your teeth and slowly move them into their proper position. How does Invisalign work?First schedule your free consultation with Dr. Sheila. Once we determine if Invisalign is the right choice for you, we scan your teeth using state-of-the-art iTero digital scanning system to create precise 3D digital images of your teeth. Then Dr. Sheila can map out the exact movements of your teeth and create a virtual image for you of how your teeth will look. Based on your individualized plan, a series of custom-made, the clear aligners are made specifically for you. They are worn for 22 hours a day and changed periodically to ensure the teeth move properly. We monitor your progress closely throughout the process. What are attachments?Attachments are “bumps” on your teeth to facilitate the aligners to move the teeth properly. They are made out of composite tooth-colored material. They are removed after your Invisalign treatment is complete. What are the benefits of Invisalign? They are nearly invisible – won’t show up on selfies! You can brush and floss without interference. You may eat anything you wish. Less orthodontic visits. Comfortable and convenient. Can I use Invisalign to straighten my teeth?Yes, you can! With the advancement of technology nowadays, we can treat most of orthodontic issues such as crowding, gaps, and malocclusion (bad bite) with Invisalign.
