Invisalign Orthodontist - What Is Invisalign?
Invisalign is an invisible way to straighten teeth without metal braces. It uses clear aligners that fit over your teeth to gently move them into place.
The Benefits of Invisalign.
Invisalign has been proven to be more comfortable than traditional braces because there are no wires or brackets to irritate gums and tongue. Invisalign also allows patients to eat normally while treatment continues. And since the aligners are removable, patients can brush and floss as usual.
The Process of Getting Started with Invisalign.
To begin, Dr. Sheila will scan your teeth into a computer program. Scan replaces gooey mold. It is fast, much more comfortable, and safe! Then, we will use this scan to make a series of clear plastic trays that fit over your teeth. These trays will act as spacers between your teeth, gradually moving them into place until they are perfectly aligned. You will wear these trays for as long as your treatment takes, then remove them and replace them with new ones every 7-14 days. During this time, you will need to wear the aligner every day except when eating or drinking.
